Simon has 18 years’ experience in managing the implementation of large scale change programmes- primarily in operational environments where his focus is on reducing costs while improving quality and delivery.
He has worked in a variety of industries in the private sector including; manufacturing, healthcare, oil and gas, public transport and consumer electronics. He also has experience in the public sector with the MOD and the Police.
Areas of primary expertise include:
- Operational Improvement – working with organisations to define, and deliver concrete operational improvements in both service and manufacturing environments. Ensuring alignment of management and staff in delivery, and ensuring improvements are translated to the bottom line
- Change Management – supporting organisations in the delivery of major change programmes, from Post Merger situations to IT delivery programmes. Providing support in both the “driving”, and the more human “releasing” elements of the change programmes
- Project and Programme Management – managing the programme office for major change initiatives ensuring progress is made according to schedule, stakeholders are managed, governance is in place, and risks are managed.
- Divisional Strategy and Organisational Design – working with clients to develop their divisional strategy (typically operational strategy), and/or structure their business to balance future business requirements with wider organisational imperatives.
